On AirMusicians

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 7, 2026

On Air Musicians (onairmusicians.com) is operated by Squidcode. This page explains what data the site collects, why, which third-party services are involved, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

Browsing without an account. You can use the whole directory without signing up. In that case we collect only the analytics and advertising data described below.

Accounts. If you create an account we store your email address, a display name, a handle, an optional avatar, and — for email/password accounts — a password hash (never the password itself). If you sign in with Google or Twitch we store the account identifier that provider gives us and the email address it provides. Email-verification links use single-use tokens that expire. We keep a session record so you stay logged in.

Lists, claims and submissions. Musician lists you build are saved to your account (you choose whether a list is public). If you claim a musician profile as your own, the link between your account and that profile is stored. If you submit a musician, we keep the submission and who sent it.

Indexed musician profiles. The directory itself consists of profiles of musicians who stream publicly. For each we store the public information from their platform channel — display name, bio, avatar, country, genres and instruments we infer, and whether they are currently live — plus any details the musician adds after claiming the profile. If you are a listed musician, see “Your rights” below for how to correct or remove your profile.

Messages to us. Emails you send to our contact address are kept as long as needed to handle them.

Cookies

Signing in sets a session cookie so you stay logged in. Analytics and advertising partners may set their own cookies, as described next.

Analytics and session replay

We use Umami (self-hosted at analytics.squidcode.com) for privacy-focused page-view analytics. Umami also records a session replay of visits — an anonymised recording of how the page was used, with form inputs masked and recordings capped at five minutes — which we use only to find and fix usability bugs. Analytics are restricted to the onairmusicians.com domain.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies — including the DoubleClick cookie — to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and to other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info. Google’s advertising practices are described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.

Hosting and server logs

The site is served from infrastructure operated by Squidcode. Our servers may keep standard access logs (IP address, browser user agent, requested pages) for security and debugging, retained for a limited period and not used to profile individuals.

How we use data, and who we share it with

We use the data above to run the directory, keep your account working, show live status, measure what is useful, and show ads. We do not sell personal data. The only third parties that receive it are the service providers named on this page, each for the purpose described. Public musician profiles and public lists are, by design, visible to everyone.

Your rights

You can ask us to export, correct or delete your account data at any time. If you are a musician listed in the directory, you can claim your profile from your account to edit it, or ask us to correct or remove it — no account required. Email us from the contact page; we respond within 30 days and honour GDPR, UK GDPR and CCPA rights regardless of where you live.

Children

The site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Changes

If our practices change we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting account holders will also be announced by email.
